Clinical care and support
We are committed to all aspects of clinical care, with care from the dedicated registered nursing team, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our experienced nursing team is supported by an extended team of hand selected care workers and other support staff, including our wonderful volunteers.
Emergency treatment and outpatient services are provided by either The Royal Adelaide Hospital or Modbury Hospital.
Food and nutrition
Mealtimes are an important part of everyone’s day and it’s essential that we provide our residents with a range of fresh and nutritious choices on every menu.
A nutritious diet supports our physical health as well as emotional wellbeing. Good food nourishes the body, brings people together, and provides enjoyment in everyday life.
Cooked on premise, our catering team carefully select seasonal, well-sourced produce when designing our menus, with input from our residents a significant part of the process. Every resident’s individual preferences are considered and we welcome friends and family to join us at mealtimes.
Meals can be enjoyed together in the communal dining room, or served in the privacy of the resident’s room. Morning tea, afternoon tea and supper are also provided along with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Therapy services
New residents are seen by our Allied Health teams as part of the admission process and a therapy program is provided to enable residents to attain a level of independence in their activities of daily living.
Hairdresser
A hairdresser visits the facility on a weekly basis to offer a range of hairdressing services.
Pets
Our residents are welcome to enjoy visits from pets. Relatives and staff are encouraged to bring their well-controlled family pets to the facility during visiting daylight hours, maintaining dogs on a leash or cats in a box.
Due to health regulations animals are not permitted in the main hospital.
Outdoor areas and garden
Our aged care facility has a number of open outdoor areas with leafy, landscaped gardens where residents can enjoy the fresh air and outdoor setting. Our facilities include a bird aviary, various water features and an outdoor entertainment area with barbecue – all kindly funded by local community service clubs.
These outdoor areas are available for our residents to enjoy whenever they desire, or to use with family and friends.
