More than a lifestyle
Fun in our nursing home is a daily occurrence bringing enjoyment and a quality of life for our residents. No activity to small or too large, but fun is the aim of the game.
Our team of lifestyles staff schedule monthly events and regular activities that we all look forward to, from Bingo, crafts, outings to our local cultural clubs, there is a hive of activity throughout our week.
Being part of our teams doesn’t have to come with a qualification. Showing compassion, care and consideration is essential elements for bringing so much joy to our facility. It is a role constantly admired by our management teams, families and friends as they prepare and engage on significant events and milestones, from cultural through to our regular celebrations our teams work tirelessly to showcase our residents.
“Some of the best events are those that bring together everyone to participate and have fun. Melbourne Cup antics is full of colour and a little bit of crazy hobby-horse riding. You can really see how much it adds value to the lives of our resident” says CEO, Cara Miller.
Our weekly events are also the regularity that seeks to bring together friends and families and who doesn’t like the end of week ‘Happy Hour’. Music, beverages and snacks are all part of the end of week wind down for our residents and one that is looked forward to for our residents.
Lifestyle activities are an essential part of the care we provide, and most importantly to ensure that the quality of life experiences are not forgotten in aged care.
