About NECH
The North Eastern Community Hospital (NECH) is a not-for-profit, community owned, private hospital and residential aged care facility
Founded in 1973 through the initiative of local medical
practitioners and two local councils, with support from the Commonwealth
Government, NECH is located in the north-eastern suburb of Campbelltown,
approximately 10 kilometres from the Adelaide CBD in South Australia.
As a not-for-profit, community-based organisation, all
surplus funds are reinvested into the complex to continually improve and
enhance our services, facilities, and equipment for the benefit of our patients
and residents.
Our modern 60-bed hospital offers private room
accommodation, two operating theatres, two gastroenterology procedure rooms,
and an eight-bed day surgery unit. We provide a broad range of specialist
services including general surgery, orthopaedics, laparoscopic (keyhole)
surgery, gynaecology, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, and ophthalmology,
alongside our Residential Aged Care services.
Our Residential Aged Care Facility comprises 84 licensed
beds in a purpose-designed environment focused on delivering contemporary,
high-quality care. Through personalised aged care services, we are committed to
supporting residents to live with dignity, independence, and meaning.
The strategic direction and governance of the organisation
are overseen by our Board of Management, comprising voluntary medical
professionals and elected community representatives.
Our Mission
North Eastern Community Hospital provides health and aged care services for our local community. Investment in comprehensive, sustainable healthcare services ensures we continue to achieve service excellence with highly skilled, professional and caring staff.
Our Vision
To be the premier provider of health and aged care in our community.
