Volunteering
As a not-for-profit community owned private hospital and aged care facility, passionate volunteers have always been an invaluable part of our unique brand of compassionate and caring healthcare.
Why volunteer?
Our friendly and welcoming team of volunteers generously donate thousands of hours each year to provide exceptional support, comfort and assistance to our patients and residents, and their families and friends.
From escorting patients to their rooms and helping families navigate the hospital, to assisting with administrative tasks and providing general support, the contribution of our volunteers is invaluable to the day-to-day operation of the hospital.
It is often said that with volunteering, you gain more than you give – and this is certainly true at NECH. Volunteering is not only a fun and rewarding experience but provides an incredible opportunity to create social connections, meet new friends and utilise your skills while enhancing the overall patient and resident experience.
As a volunteer, you will be part of a dynamic, committed and established team in which you are valued and supported as part of the NECH community. We also host regular events to thank our volunteers and enjoy a little social time together.
