Our visiting surgeons and specialists perform a wide range of surgical procedures in the areas of gynaecology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and general surgery. Surgeons specialise in endoscopy, colonoscopy and laparoscopy (keyhole surgery).
The general surgeons work closely with other specialists involved in each patient’s care to diagnose and provide timely surgical intervention for complex conditions. Our nursing staff are experienced in the provision of quality care and experts at discharge planning, working closely with patients, carers and families to ensure a safe, timely return to the community.
NECH is a leader in pioneering the latest medical technologies and was one of the first hospitals in South Australia to implement keyhole surgery. Our hospital features two fully equipped operating theatres and two gastroenterology suites with the latest in medical technology available.
